NOVEMBER SADD STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

The BHS SADD November Student of the Month is sophomore Ashleigh Carillo. Ashleigh’s favorite color is lavender and anything with pasta is what she likes to eat. Her best classes are yearbook and plant & animal science and when asked if she could teach a class which one it would be, Ashleigh replied, “…I wouldn’t teach any class.” During her free time she likes to listen to music and work on her YouTube channel. If she had to pick a book to read, Ashleigh would choose Skin. Forget Me Not is her favorite movie and she likes to watch That 70’s Show and American Horror Story on television. . . . read more

Bucklin High School SADD Chapter Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

The Bucklin High School SADD (Student’s Against Destructive Decisions) chapter took part in several Red Ribbon Week activities during the week of October 27th.  The members prepared for the week by placing red ribbons on doors in the elementary, junior high, and high school. They also handed out stickers, wristbands, and tied ribbons on car antennae at the football game vs. Stafford. Bucklin Angel Tree Project

The Bucklin SADD chapter is sponsoring an Angel Tree project this Christmas season for children in need in the USD 459 district. If anyone in the community would like to help sponsor a child, please pick an Angel Tree tag off the tree at Mainstreet Market. The tag lists the age of the child and includes a “wish list.”  Anyone choosing to participate is asked to return the Angel Tree tag with the gift in a gift bag to Mainstreet Market no later than Tuesday, December 9, 2014. read more
