The BHS SADD October Student of the Month is sophomore Cabria Myers. Cabria's favorite colors are red & purple and her mom’s enchiladas are what she likes to eat. Her best class is art and when asked if she could teach a class which one it would be, Cabria replied, “…philosophy, because it’s very interesting.” During her free time she likes to read and tumble. If she had to pick a book to read, Cabria would have a hard time choosing her favorite as “there’s too many!” Limitless is her favorite movie. Dodge City Fire Station Visit

On Monday, October 6th, the Bucklin Kindergartners through 5th grade students were educated on fire safety at the Dodge City Fire Station. They learned about fire safety through a smoke house simulation. In addition, they learned about the various fire trucks, observed the memorial, saw where the firemen eat and sleep during their shifts and were taught some important ways to be safe if they were ever in a situation where they needed to escape from a burning building. Lady Deuces Finish 4th in League Tournament

The Bucklin Junior High volleyball team competed in the League Tournament hosted by Satanta on Monday, October 20 th , 2014. The Lady Deuces were seeded fourth in the tournament with a league record of 2-3. Fowler had the #1 seed at 5-0, Satanta #2 at 4-1, and Pawnee Heights #3 with a 3-2 record.        The Deuces opened play against the Ingalls Bulldogs; the same team they had played the previous week.
