USD 459

I am so happy to be part of the Bucklin USD 459 family. 

I will be living at 422 W. Cedar, as will my youngest daughter who is 17.  She graduated from High School in May and will be taking a few online courses.  Her name is Sylvia but she prefers to be called Valentyne.

My son, Jacob (25) and daughter Mara (20) both live in Garden City.  My 70+ year old mother lives with them and will visit me often.

I love all animals.  At one time I had rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, and a snake.  Don't worry, only a cat or two will be moving with me.

I have been in education for 20+ years and have been a para, a teacher ( I have taught Kinder -9th grades), an assistant principal and for the last 4 years principal of Charles Stones Intermediate Center in Garden City.  At Stones, we had 400 fifth and 6th graders.  Plus, Stones was the behavior school for grades 5-8 and the special education site for the severely mentally handicapped.  

I loved every minute of being principal and would have stayed gladly, but God led me to Bucklin and I am so excited. 

I love to read, watch movies and 2D felt...it is so fun.  I also paint (dabble in it) as well.
