Kansas Standards and Kansas Assessments Standards:
The Kansas Academic Standards give school districts a framework to design their curriculum, instruction, testing, and teacher development. Academic standards spell out what students should know and be able to do at various stages in their schooling.
Assessments:
The Kansas Assessments are what Kansas uses to determine whether or not a student meets standards in specific areas such as reading, math, writing, science, and history/government. An assessment is just another name for a test.
