Support The Student Athlete

by Tim Dusin

September 03, 2009

Once again school has started and so has middle school and high school athletics. Athletics provide our students with great learning opportunities such as teamwork, communication, dedication and sacrifice. Athletics and activities allow students to develop the life long skills needed in our society today.
All student athletes want to be successful in one way or another. Some see success by starting a contest and others see it by improving one’s skill level while being a part of a team. All student athletes want to be applauded and appreciated for their time and effort.
As fans, friends, and family, we reinforce this attitude with positive support. Our student athletes want and need our support. We are the role models in the stands and the student athlete will follow and feel the additional pressure. So as fans we must positively support our student athletes with the sportsmanship we expect on the court or field of play. Be a good sport and support student athletics!
