Students Attend Regional Conference

On October 1st, 13 Bucklin Student Council members and their sponsor attended the Regional Student Council Conference at Dodge City High School. Over 300 students from middle and high schools in southwest Kansas were in attendance to hear Rob Miller give his motivational message on leadership and having an impact on schools.
The Students were asked what was both good and bad about their school ad what they wanted their schools to be known for. Mr. Miller also gave characteristics of leadership and the choices that would have to be made to see their school succeed.
The Kansas State High School Activities Association sponsored the regional conference. It is one of eight regional meetings held throughout the state. The purpose of Student Council is to promote strong schools, community service and student leadership.
