Bucklin JH vs Pawnee Heights FB Results

The Bucklin Red Deuces traveled to Rozel, Thursday to take on the Pawnee
Heights Junior High football team. The Deuces played an excellent first
half, and took a 20-16 lead. The Deuces took a second quarter lead on a long
touchdown run by JaQuan. The try for point failed and the Deuces
led 6-0.
Pawnee Heights came back with a touchdown of their own, and with a
successful extra point led 8-6. JaQuan took a pitch from Brett
Halling and went 55 yards for the go ahead touchdown with 4:03 to go in the
second quarter. Brett passed to Blake for the PAT to put the
Deuces up 14-8.
With 34.5 seconds to go in the second quarter, Pawnee Heights score a
touchdown and the PAT, to retake the lead 18-14. On the ensuing kickoff
Blake took the short kick and returned it 45 yards for the go ahead
touchdown. PAT failed and with 26.6 seconds to go in the half the Red Deuces
led 20-16.
In the second half the Deuces were unable to score and the Tigers went
on to score 28 points for a 44-20 victory. The Deuces fell to 1-5 on the
season. The Red Deuces final football game of the season is next Thursday at
Spearville. The kickoff is scheduled for 6:30.
