Parent University
September 12, 2008
Monday, November 3 – Parent University – 7:00-8:30 p.m.
In The School Cafeteria
Topic: Bullying Awareness and Prevention
Students will not learn if they do not feel safe at school. Children with bullying behavior are finding new ways to bully. The Supreme Court recently ruled that schools could be held liable for incidents of peer harassment. The National Education Association reported that 160,000 children skip school each day because of intimidation. In this workshop we will discuss the three players in bullying behavior, what bullying behavior is, and the roles we play in stopping bullying behavior.
It is very important for all parents to attend this presentation.
The program will be presented by Arlene Holderness, Education Consultant with Southwestern Plains Regional Service Center, Sublette, Kansas. If you have any questions, you may contact Arlene at:
