Bucklin Students Travel to South Central for Leadership

by Samantha K.

October 08, 2001

Seniors, Abbey R., Caitlyn L., and Taggart K., juniors,
Megan H., Leo V., and Tanner B., sophomores, Melinda D.,
Nicholas M., and Brett D., and freshman, Sammy K., Ashley
P., and Abbi P.,(all class representatives) attended a leadership
meeting on Friday, September 26th in Protection, Kansas. Ashland and South
Central also sent representatives. Mr. Joe Coles was the guest speaker and
he talked about “our red rubber ball”, or what individuals want to do for
their passion.

The class leadership meetings help students learn about being
good role models, and being one who respects others and tries their hardest
to be better.

When asked what one thing she learned at this leadership
conference, Melinda replied, “I learned what my red rubber ball is.”
